THE TRIANGLE PROJECT AT DOME OF VISIONS - THE FUTURE IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE

The above video is from The Triangle Project's 2014 event at Dome of Vision by Meeto from Wemakecolors. It was a wonderful day and we look forward to the 23rd of May 2015 for another version.

There following artists will be exhibiting and performing:

FRANKA

The images in this post of Franka is shot by Taylan Yilmaz who is our Istanbul Triangle artist in New York. He shot the images as stills for his music video he did with Franka during the 2014 New York version of the The Triangle Project.

The stills from the video is for the song "YOUR SISTER" that was show in Brooklyn in spring of 2014. FRANKA has since last year toured around Denmark, been back to New York to produce another music video and also played on the Faroe Islands, where she has a huge fanbase that loves her to pieces. This time around she will be playing several new songs.

INTENTIONAL ART

Gry Worre Hallberg is the curator of Dome of Visions, a Triangle artist and co-founder of the Intentional Art project Sisters Hope. She will talk about her latest Intentional Art projects, that are currently being produced in schools and cultural institutions in Denmark and Sweden.

Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen is the initiator of CO2 Green Drive, The Triangle Project and Intentional Art. Jacob will talk about the plans for the next UN Climate Summit (COP21) in Paris that is being planned for the fall/winter together with the French and US Embassy in Copenhagen. His Intentions to become the next Minister of Culture in Denmark will also be presented at the Dome of Visions on May 23rd. Moreover Fuglsang will exhibit a selection of the hand made Political Campaign posters for The Alternative, that he has created in collaboration with Will Gurley and Thomas Christoffersen. Other than that, he will play vinyls on the wheels of steel as DJ Triangle Lover.

FUGLSANG/DALHOF

The Fuglsang/Dalhof artist duo consists of Torben Dalhof and Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen. Their collaborative work from 2012 that was made in connection to The Triangle Project's Istanbul installation that took place that same year. It is several painting that are digitally remastered and created into a shape that both can be made into a Pyramid tent and a large scale banner. Thanks to Brendon Stuart and Sombra Projects for the help and inspiration.

LONE HØRSLEV

Lone Hørslev is a black magic woman, who with her magic pen can write any kind of format. May it be melancholic existencial love poetry like it was gong out of style, a 50% Shades of Grey kind of historical power novel, or clever lyrics to her own band, along with several collaborations. It seems she has her Danish fanbase in her spell, and they wait patiently for her next adventures into Danish liretature history as one of the cool female writers og this time.

Lone was as part of her band Mouritz/Hørslev Project, part of The Triangle Project in 2009, at Scandinavian House on Park Avenue and at the legendary showcase "Neke Carson Presents at Gershwin Hotel".

JACOB HALLGREN

Jacob Hallgren had his theater debut at age 3 during the opening night of August Strindberg’s “Miss Julie”. In all fairness not as an actor but because he thought the nice lady on stage would give him ice cream. But the love for performance stuck with him even though it would be another 25 years, before he tried his luck as a spoken word poet and poetry slam master.

Besides winning the audience award at the “Day of Poetry” with more the 100 poets participating, in 2006, he is the 2012 Danish national poetry slam champion (above video), he has had a term as resident summer poet on national Danish radio, created the avant-garde food and poetry performence “The Fruit & Flesh Show”, Jacob has participated in documentaries, various installation and crossover art projects and is founder of the “Association for Better Pornography” witch insured a couple of months of national notoriety.

JACOB SKYGGEBJERG

Jacob Skyggebjerg is the author of the novel Vor tids helt (A hero of our time), several columns, essays, radio-essays and songs. He also works as a guest-editor for the Danish newspaper Politiken...

....but first of all an entertainer. In above image doing a video selfie with the current Danish Minister of Culture Marianne Jelved.

Claus Ankersen is a writer, performer and spoken-word artist who studied Communivation and Philosophy at Aarhus University and University of California in Santa Barbara, along with Anthropology at Copenhagen University.

He has been part of The Triangle Project since 2008 and have often been likened to beat poet Allen Ginsberg and Hunter S. Thompson.

THE ROLF aka Pirate Rolf aka Rolf Bjerre, will be on the wheels of steel as a DJ during the evening. He is also one of the canidates for The Alternative with focus on IT, Open Source and Web Freedom.

SVEND SØMOD

Svend Sømod is one of the collaborators for the COP21 plans in Paris. He has collaborated with Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen on the CO2 Painting (below) that was exhibited on Kongens Nytorv in the fall of 2014.

On May 23rd at Dome of Visions, he will be the host of the Late Night Party that starts at 11PM to 02AM.

DJ Musse is a Swedish DJ specially selected for the evening by Svend Sømod. He will play vinyls on the wheels of steel, making sure the dancefloor will be on fire..

CPH:DOX - OCCUPY NIGHT - NOVEMBER 10TH 2013

"99% - The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film" describes a great political mass phenomenon of our time. CPH:DOX & The Triangle Project will host film screenings, panel debates and performances at the legendary Copenhagen Grand Cinema and at Kayak Republic, on November 10th 2013.

The Bull on Wall Street

A Bull that was also in a project from 2000 called "The Wall Street Art Exhibition". The above image was taken by yrs truly and was the invitation to the event and exhibition, with New York Triangle artist John Lohse performing the crazed Wall Street banker.

"We are the 99 percent," chant the Occupy protesters as they set up a self-sufficient community in
Zuccotti—renamed Liberty—Park to demand an answer to America's wildly unequal distribution.

Brendon Stuart has in collaboration with Sombra Projects created a Pyramid Tent with his images from Occupy Wall Street along with a short film called "The 99%". The film will be shown at the After event hosted by The Triangle Project at "Kayak Republic", placed between the Danish National Bank and the Danish Wall Street building "Børsen"..

The Police spraying Occupy Protesters. An act that was also made into iconic viral modern art, in too many ways to mention.

Another iconic OWS character that was severly abused once it was in the hands of Danish Mad Men.

The above image and PR stunt by the most evil of all Danish Banks (Danske Bank), destroyed it's brand and have not recovered since. The above image was actually withdrawn from the campaign, in shame.

When Danish/Indian artist HVAD later produced above image, the same bank (Danske Bank) threatened him and requested he removed the image from all social network platforms. HVAD will also do a performence to keep fire under the Nydanske Bank Movement at Kayak Republic.

Gordon Flink, formerly known as Gordon Inc will come and perform a new text that he has produced with Occupy Wall Street, the Gezi Resistance and the current state of Denmark in mind.

A film by Anders Nikolaj Højrup Sørensen called "TOXIC TUESDAYS" with Spoken Word artist and poet Claus Ankersen. In above video you can see Mr Ankersen performing at Dome of Visions, as warm up to Now.

The short film "69 - A Battle for a Youth House" by photographer Jacob Ehrbahn will also be shown to give a perspective on Danish Resistance. The above image was designed by Sombra Projects in connection to produce a Pyramid Tent in the near future.

The Lady in Red Pants from the Russian Activist Art Group VOINA in the Triangle panel debate at Roskilde Festival, including Peter from "Skift Bank Dag", Anup who was the spokesperson for Occupy Wall Street, Danish Spoken word artist Claus, Erinc from Istanbul Gezi Resistance Movement and New York photographer Brendon along with Lars as the Moderator.

Lars Trier Mogensen (above) will also after the screening of "99% - The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film" be the moderator for a paneldebate. A paneldebate including two of the American directors and Mikkel Bolt, a lecturer in modern culture, and sociologist and blogger Eskil Halberg.

The Triangle Project was in July in Lars Trier Mogensen's Radio Show "In the Red Field" on RADIO24syv to talk about the Roskilde Festival Plans. Above image was taken in the Green Room at 11:11

The Turkish/American photographer Charles Emir Richard, who went to school in Denmark as a teenager and showed his images as part of PART 10 in Istanul at Mini Muzik Hol, will show his photos from the Gezi Resistance in a short film as part of the evening of screenings.

The above os the Pyramid Tent design by Sombra Project of Charles's and Daniel Etter's images, that wil be produced in the near future.

The above image has become another iconic image from the Gezi Resistance.

The above image from the interaction between Gezi Restance People and representatives from Copenhagen's Christiania, who have resisted Normalization for over 40 years.

Jesper Hyuk Larsen (who took the above image) will present his images as a film from The Triangle Project Part 9 at the Roskilde Festival and Part 10 in Istanbul, as a film in collaboration with filmmaker Anders Nikolaj Højrup Sørensen

DJ Triangle Lover and some Secret Guests will be on the Wheels of Steele with Vinyls

Chapulling (Turkish: çapuling) is a neologism originating in the 2013 protests in Turkey, coined from Prime Minister Erdoğan's use of the term çapulcu (roughly translated to "looters") to describe the protestors.

Capulcu was rapidly reappropriated by the protestors, both in its original form and as the anglicized chapuller and additionally verbified chapulling, given the meaning of "fighting for your rights". Chapulling has been used in Turkish both in its English form and in the hybrid word form çapuling.

99% (The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film)

On Oct 1, 2011 a few award-winning filmmakers in NY teamed up to make a collaborative film about the Occupy Wall Street Movement. They called and wrote to their filmmaker friends, and they to theirs. Soon, there were over 60 people across the country who had come together to join the collaborative film.
