FRANKA

The images in this post of Franka is shot by Taylan Yilmaz who is our Istanbul Triangle artist in New York. He shot the images as stills for his music video he did with Franka during the 2014 New York version of the The Triangle Project.

The stills from the video is for the song "YOUR SISTER" that was show in Brooklyn in spring of 2014. FRANKA has since last year toured around Denmark, been back to New York to produce another music video and also played on the Faroe Islands, where she has a huge fanbase that loves her to pieces. LONE HØRSLEV

Drawing by Anne-Marie Steen Petersen

Lone Hørslev is a black magic woman, who with her magic pen can write any kind of format. May it be melancholic existencial love poetry like it was gong out of style, a 50% Shades of Grey kind of historical power novel, or clever lyrics to her own band, along with several collaborations. It seems she has her Danish fanbase in her spell, and they wait patiently for her next adventures into Danish liretature history as one of the cool female writers og this time.

JACOB HALLGREN

Jacob Hallgren had his theater debut at age 3 during the opening night of August Strindberg’s “Miss Julie”. In all fairness not as an actor but because he thought the nice lady on stage would give him ice cream. But the love for performance stuck with him even though it would be another 25 years, before he tried his luck as a spoken word poet and poetry slam master.

Besides winning the audience award at the “Day of Poetry” with more the 100 poets participating, in 2006, he is the 2012 Danish national poetry slam champion (above video), he has had a term as resident summer poet on national Danish radio, created the avant-garde food and poetry performence “The Fruit & Flesh Show”, Jacob has participated in documentaries, various installation and crossover art projects and is founder of the “Association for Better Pornography” witch insured a couple of months of national notoriety.

LAUNCH OF INTENTIONAL ART AT DOME OF VISIONS ON SØREN KIRKEGAARDS SPACE IN COPENHAGEN

"According to Eastern mystics, occultists, and Amazonian shamans, there is only one consciousness that expresses itself through the creative medium of space and time.
This consciousness fragments itself into myriad tiny shards in order to learn about its own expressive capacities. If this view is correct, then the intention of civilization should be to mesh all of these fragments back together into a harmonic, ever-changing whole. We could explore university in diversity, and overcome the false dualism between the individual and collective by reimagining our world as a collaborative work of art."

Daniel Pinchbeck, 2014

On May 16th 2014 at 6:00PM, Intentional Art will be launched in Copenhagen. A wonderful group of people have been asked to be part of the launch event and panel in connection to the launch. They are:

Ole Fogh Kirkeby is a Danish philosopher and a professor at Copenhagen Business School in the Philosophy of Leadership. He is a Doctor of Philosophy from Aarhus University, graduated with honours, 1994, with the dissertation "Event and Body-mind. A phenomenological-hermeneutic Analysis". He has an MA (mag.art.) in the History of Ideas from Aarhus University. As a professional philosopher, Kirkeby focused on the event as the centre of being. In order to describe the event, he conceived it as a way in which the body-mind (his neologism) absorbed the event by being absorbed by it.
The media in which this takes place is language. Thus Kirkeby combined the theory of language games, and the phenomenological tradition, with its emphasis on self-reflective being (Heidegger), and the theory of bodily incorporation developed by Merleau-Ponty, interpreted through the Stoic vocabulary of the event, into an epistemological theory of the way in which we are “evented”. In his philosophical trilogy about the event, with the volumes Eventum Tantum – The Ethos of the Event  Beauty Happens, The Aesthetics of the Event and The Self happens and The Event of Consciousness, he created a new framework for approaching the event.

Jonathan Lang has spent more than 10 years in marketing working with hologram projection, emerging technologies, digital, social and all that other stuff healthy, ambitious, young, marketing professionals should be doing, for clients all over the world. In an attempt to save his soul (my soul actually – I don’t have an agent writing this stuff for me) he left marketing to find the meaning of life or something meaningful to spend it on. Companies spend gazillions of dollars every minute communicating empty messages with the only purpose of perpetuating consumption.I am curious to explore how big a difference just a fraction of those resources can make if they are used to actually make a difference and change something in the world - for the better

Jonas Hvid Søndergaard graduated from The Royal Danish Art Academy as a painter. After many years
of reserach into the Theosophy and Occult aspects of art, he is now one of the great inspirations to the young Danish art scene, travelling into the same areas. Theosophy is considered a part of the broader field of esotericism, referring to hidden knowledge or wisdom that offers the individual enlightenment and salvation. The theosophist seeks to understand the mysteries of the universe and the bonds that unite the universe, humanity, and the divine. The goal of theosophy is to explore the origin of divinity and humanity, and the world. From investigation of those topics, theosophists try to discover a coherent description of the purpose and origin of the universe.

One of the sacred meanings associated with the symbolism of the Triangle is the fiery aspiration of the human soul towards higher unity. Psychologically it represents the urge to escape from duality or the extension represented by the base of the triangle, a movement towards an origin or an irradiating point at the apex.

The Flower of Life is considered to be a symbol of sacred geometry, said to contain ancient, religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. Sacred geometry can be described as a belief system attributing a religious or cultural value to many of the fundamental forms of space and time. According to this belief system, the basic patterns of existence are perceived as sacred, since contemplating one is contemplating the origin of all things. By studying the nature of these forms and their relationship to each other, one may seek to gain insight into the scientific, philosophical, psychological, aesthetic and mystical laws of the universe.

Rasmus Nordqvist, Chairman of the board of The Alternative. Rasmus works as designer and teacher within fashion design. with a special focus on sustainability and talent development. The Alternative is a generous, action-oriented international party with a special focus on serious sustainable transition, everyday democracy and the entrepreneurial creative power of society and individuals. A party which has the courage to imagine a radically different future. It is important for The Alternative to emphasise the significance of culture and art and their role in the development of other life values and life strategies than material consumption and financial wealth.

Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen is the initiator of Intentional Art & The Triangle Project. After working on
various projects
and concepts, he found himself not being able to explain what he was doing.
He was just doing it. Fuglsang Mikkelsen was working on the idea of collaboration and finding issues he felt
was important to shine
light on. This led him to the need to figure out a definition of what he felt he was doing
along
with being inspired by various theories and actions of Intention, Collaboration, Spirituality, Activism and
Power of Now.
Thus Intentional Art came about.

THE TRIANGLE PROJECT PART 9 - "Resistance Through Dreams" - DOME OF VISIONS - APRIL 27TH 2013

The concept of "Resistance Through Dreams" have been developed in collaboration between Gry Vorre Hallberg from House of Futures, Fiction Pimps and The Triangle Project artists.

There is a search going on right NOW, if we in Denmark have a reason to resist what is going on in our country. On Tahir Sqaure, there was resistance, that turned in to the Arabian Spring. In Zuccotti Park there was resistance, that turned into the Occupy Wall Street Movement, that later spread over America like a wildfire.

In Denmark, the latest resistance has been the teachers against the government and local municipalities. The teachers claim, that it was allready a done deal between the Government and the Municipalities before the Lock Out of thousands of children and teachers from their schools even started, is called a Conspiracy Theory.

Conspiracy Theorist is a definition that these days are given to anyone who does not follow the truths of main stream medias official reports. New Speak is being used by the politicians and 1984 has been removed from Amazon.com. Are all these facts or are they part of a dream, that by dreaming it and being aware of the dream, we are able to do something about? Can we control our dreams? If so, let's coordinate them as part of the future of The Triangle Project.

On April 27th 2013, the people behind The Triangle Project will host a lovely day, evening and NIGHT at Dome of Visions, that is placed on the exact spot of the legendary Copenhagen Restaurant and Beach concept called Luftkastellet.

The Dome of Visions is a Bucky Dome made out of Triangles and has throughout March and April 2013 been hosting a variety of events, conferences, workshops, concerts, performances and parties. On April 27th, the day starts at 2pm (14:00) with DJ's, Musical Performances, Dance Performances, presentations, Spoken Word and Beer tasting of the Eco Beer from "Rise Bryggeri" situated on the little Danish Green Island called Ærø.

Sarah Armstrong, also in above video done for Dome of Visions, will be the first performer of the day, with her Hardcore Dance Performance Installation. After Sarah, DJ Rita Blue will set the tone of the rest of the afternoon with her lovely tunes.

Finn Andersen, who is The General Secretary of The Danish Cultural Institute will hold a speech and talk about the future plans for opening up a Danish Cultural Institute in Istanbul. The Spoken Word artist Claus Ankersen will perform his "No Comments" and after that the initiator and facilitator of The Triangle Project Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen will talk about the projects future plans in 2013.

These plans include The Triangle Project Part 9 at Roskilde Festival, where there will be performances by Triangle Artists at the ART ZONE area.

These performances will be done in collaboration with SKIFT BANK DAG, (above) IBIS, Kommunal Dubplate Services/HVAD, 25CPW Gallery from New York, Sombra Projects, CO2 Green Drive, the New York photographer Brendon Stuart, DJ Copyflex, DJ Rita Blue and many more. The above Triangle will be created as part of the Parade Performance, where particpants will walk a route following the outline of the Orange Triangle. This outline will be painted by the CO2 Green Drive Smart Phone Application and shown live online.

When the day of the 27th of April turns into evening, Gry Nœhr Bagøien will do a lovely musical performance. After Gry, Yann Coppier, Runar Magnusson and Søren Raagaard will perform their Bolero Styled collaboration "All About Water". As the last performer, Karsten Phlum will perform his ambient sounds live, including samples from his new album.

From 10pm (22:00), Copyflex and friends (including Karsten Phlum) will play some booty shaking tunes with bass that will rattle the glass of the Dome. Allan Gram will set the Black Light just right and the bar will serve cold cheap beer.

Go to the event on Facebook Here for the time schedule and Line-up.
